The Generous Deed
The morning after I posted episode 92 (The Day I Met Sami Yusuf), I received a call from Katherine who is with the Foundation for Traditional Studies. She complimented me on the episode and then asked me whether I heard how the blind Afghan boy got his VIP ticket. I told her that I have not, and to please tell me. She had sparked my curiosity. What she then told me was spiritually beautiful and I share that with you this episode.
Lastly, I talk about a remarkable book that I am currently reading. On Octorber 23rd, the author and Science Reporter Paul Raeburn will join me on the podcast to talk about this book, “Do Fathers Matter?” With all the studies being done between “mother-child” relationships, and fewer studies done between father-child relationship, Mr. Raeburn brings light to how important fathers play a role in the development of a child. I am almost done with his book and absolutely love it. I highly recommend it. It is a must read for any newlywed couples or soon-to-be parents.
