About Haleh Banani
Haleh Banani has a Master degree in Clinical Psychology from University of Houston. She is a cognitive behavioral therapist who does skype therapy sessions with an international clientele. She has over 15 years experience in diagnosing mental and emotional disorders and administrating programs of treatment. She was the first female to host a program for Al-Fajr TV called “With Haleh” which combines the principles of psychology and Islam to help people reach their full potential and overcome their challenges. Haleh is an internationally published writer and counselor for the website www.MuslimMatters.org She received her ijaza for the recitation of the Quran with tajweed in Egypt from Sheikh Mohammad Hazawi from Al-Azhar University. She was recently given the Icon Award in Malaysia representing America for her contributions in mental health and dawa. She has been married for Alhamdulillah 19 years and she has 3 kids ages 15, 12 & 9.
